This is God's word arranged for singing.
This translation is the 1758 Psalms, Hymns & Spiritual Songs of the Old and New Testament, also called the New England Psalm Book by Thomas Prince, Pastor of Boston's Old South Church. It is ultimately a revision of the 1640 Bay Psalm Book, the first printed book in North America.
If you have sung a hymn, you can sing a psalm. Choose a tune that matches the meter of the psalm.
Psalms with more than one version are given letter headings; A, B, etc. These signify the same psalm in different meters.
Long psalms are broken up; Part 1, Part 2, etc.
All syllables are sung unless contracted with an apostrophe. (e.g. Thou hast enlarg'd me when distress'd)
